About Me
The person behind the horse photo.
Who I Am
I'm Alnura, a 3rd year Data Science and Society student at Central European University, originally from Kazakhstan. I ended up in data science because it turns out numbers can be applied to pretty much everything — politics, behaviour, games, economies, people's feelings about democracy. That's the appeal. You pick a question that matters and data gives you a way to actually look at it.
When I'm not doing that, I'm cooking something that may or may not have followed the recipe, and thinking about horses.
What I Work With
Python, R, SQL
pandas, NumPy, EDA, regression modelling, survey data analysis
Tableau, Plotly, Shiny, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Yandex DataLens
Excel, Google Sheets, PostgreSQL
Where I'm Headed
I'm interested in decision science — the intersection of data, behaviour, and how people and organisations actually make choices. The kind of work where the output isn't just a chart but something that changes what someone decides to do next.
Still figuring out the exact shape of it, but the direction is clear enough.
